This includes Universal Credit, State Pension, Tax Credits and more. If you're due a benefit payment on either Good Friday (March 29) or Easter Monday (April 1) then you'll likely receive your money on the previous working day. This means you can expect to be paid on Thursday, March 28. Anyone who is due to be paid on a different day will not need to do anything. This is because the money will be paid into accounts as normal and the amount due to be paid will also remain the same, reports BirminghamLive . This includes Attendance Allowance and Carer's Allowance as well as Child Benefit, Disability Living Allowance, Employment and Support Allowance, Income Support and Jobseeker's Allowance. Other benefits listed include Pension Credit, Personal independence Payment (PIP), State Pension, Tax Credits and Universal Credit. Chancellor Jeremy Hunt confirmed last November that most benefits paid by the DWP will increase for the 2024/25 financial year. The Chancellor announced extra funding that allows the household support fund to be extended for a further six months. Local authorities use this to provide support with essential costs to vulnerable groups in their areas. If a bank holiday falls on a weekend, then a separate weekday is given a bank holiday status instead, which usually ends up being the first Monday immediately after the holiday. The full list of remaining bank holidays in 2024 for
England and Wales is as follows: Friday, March 29 (Good Friday) and Monday, April 1 (Easter Monday) as well as Monday, May 6 (Early May bank holiday). Other bank holidays include Monday, May 27 (Spring Bank Holiday), Monday, August 26 (Summer Bank Holiday), Wednesday, December 25 (
Christmas Day) and Thursday, December 26 (Boxing Day). Story Saved You can find this story in My Bookmarks. Or by navigating to the user icon in the top right. Follow CambridgeLive
