Strictly Come Dancing is going all out for its Movie Week this year, with some of the most left-field song choices the show’s probably ever had.
Quite a claim, you might think, but someone is actually dancing the Paso Doble to the Pokémon theme tune in this week’s live show.
See, we told you.
The
BBC ballroom show’s annual trip to
Hollywood will also see one couple Foxtrotting to the Downton Abbey theme, with other songs coming from films including Kung Fu Panda, Magic Mike and Batman Forever. On the less ridiculous side, there will be a Rumba to Shallow from
A Star Is Born and an
American Smooth to Cheek To Cheek from Top Hat.

And while David received the joint lowest score in Strictly history with just 10 points for his Paso Doble, the former
England goalie was saved by the judges after showing the most improvement in the dance off.
James was soon at the centre of reports he was furious backstage after the show. However, he later set the record straight on
Twitter, calling the rumours “stupid”.
