Manchester United boss
Jose Mourinho has confirmed
Alexis Sanchez will miss the Red Devils'
Champions League clash with
Juventus.
Manchester United boss Mourinho is currently preparing for the Red Devils' Champions League showdown with Juventus, who will have Cristiano Ronaldo in their ranks.
The club will, however, be without their own No 7, Sanchez.
The Chile international has been tipped to leave Old Trafford in recent times with PSG, Arsenal and Real Madrid all linked with what would be a stunning transfer.
Sanchez has toiled for the Manchester United and now, on the eve of their biggest match of the season, Mourinho has confirmed he will not feature.
“The players you saw are the ones who are available," he said.
"Nothing to hide. Alexis is out.”
Mourinho also provided an update on club captain Antonio Valencia, who has been suspiciously absent in recent times.
The Ecuador veteran recently 'liked' a social media post calling for Mourinho to be sacked.
And the United boss has now spoken out.
"The reason he didn’t play against Chelsea was that he was 10 days without training with a problem," he added.
"Not an injury, but a problem that he had very complicated surgery on his mouth.
"Ten days without training and needed time to recover after that.”
Mourinho was speaking just two days after United slumped to a disappointing 2-2 draw against Chelsea.
And Mourinho has admitted to mixed feelings after the result.
"Against Chelsea, there were contradictions in our feelings," he said.
"Everyone was happy with the collective performances but no-one was happy with the result.
"I told the players you have to try and get the best out of these feelings.”
