Twitter Share to Linkedin Invincible Invincible had a bit of a weird year, with a good season that was hamstrung by the time it took to arrive (two years) and the gap in the middle of it (several months). Kirkman spoke to Variety about all manner of season 2 and season 3 issues, and was asked about the episode split in particular: “I understand that when you’re enjoying a thing and it gets taken away and given back to you at a later date — not the best. But it was a necessity for the production of Season 2. Overall, I think it went well. The response to the last half of Season 2 has very much been, “Wish there hadn’t been a split, love the last half of Season 2.” We’re still hitting number one on the
Amazon platform. I don’t think it caused any real, lasting detriment to the show.” He does not guarantee that it’s not going to happen again, but he does say they have “lived and learned” regarding the situation, which sounds promising. And Kirkman is hyping up season 3, as the show has already been greenlit for that ages ago, and will likely keep sprinting toward a full source material adaptation in time. We are getting into the “just wait it gets even crazier” portion of the comics, and Kirkman has some goals for where things are going: “I think that there’s so many pieces that have been put in place in season two that we’re going to build on in season three and so many different ways that we’re going to expand the show and push the show even further.... We want every [season three] episode to feel like it’s a finale. Season three is an absolutely huge season with so many crazy things that you won’t expect. And where we leave things at the end of season three… Oh my god, I cannot wait for people to see that stuff.” Invincible The Best Gaming Laptops Under $1,000: Boost Your Games For Less Kirkman promises developments with Oliver’s fast aging, Eve and Mark’s relationship and there’s a lot of stuff relating to Cecil and his history. And he says Omni-Man will be in season 3 “a little” more than in season 2, where he knows some people wanted to see more of him. But it’s not “the Omni-Man show” he says. Reportedly season 3 will not have the yawning gap we saw between seasons 1 and 2. Things seem way, way ahead of schedule compared to last time. Steven Yeun said that he finished recording season 3 almost a year ago, although what takes the most time is certainly the animation work itself when it comes to a project like this. Still, fans are hoping for a spring 2025 release a year from now, or perhaps a little later. Not two years, in any case. And don’t split the season up! Follow me on Twitter , Threads ,
