Hannibal Mejbri
Manchester United youngster Hannibal Mejbri signed for Sevilla in January on loan for the remainder of the season, but his spell in
Spain got off to a worrying start when the club announced he would not be considered to play and the situation hasn't really improved. Hannibal has been included in matchday squads, but he's been given just under 90 minutes in four appearances for Sevilla and looks guaranteed to return to United in the summer. Although the option to sign Hannibal permanently for £17million was included in Sevilla's loan, that won't be triggered unless something drastic changes in the next few weeks. Alvaro Fernandez Alvaro Fernandez was another loan departure in January and he signed for Benfica for the rest of the campaign. Fernandez was recalled from his Granada loan so he could sign for the Portuguese club and the deal includes an obligation to buy if he starts 50 per cent of games. Benfica will pay €6million plus €3m in potential add-ons and they will still have the option to buy Fernandez if that obligation isn't triggered, while United have also inserted a buy-back clause and a sell-on fee if he is sold to another club after spending time in Portugal. However, the left-back has played just over 250 minutes in 10 appearances and he's yet to start in the league, although the Portuguese media have suggested he will be signed permanently. Sir Jim Ratcliffe was asked about Greenwood last month and said: "I can talk about the principle, I'm not going to talk about Mason. I'm familiar with it. The principle is the important one because we will have other issues going forward. "You're dealing with young people, they've not always been brought up in the best of circumstances, who are very talented, they've got lots of money and they don't always have maybe the guidance they should have. "What we need to do when we have issues like that is a, we need to understand what the facts are - the real facts, not the hype - what the real facts are. Then we need to make a fair decision in the light of the club's values, that's what we need to do and that's how we will do it. We'll make a decision, yeah, correct. And we'll justify it one way or another. "All I can do is talk about the principle of how we will approach it. Is he the right type of footballer? Is he a good person or not?" Jadon Sancho Borussia Dortmund offered Jadon Sancho an opportunity to kickstart his career after falling out with Erik ten Hag and it has, understandably, taken him time to get back up to speed. Sancho hadn't played a competitive match for over four months when re-signing for Dortmund. He provided two assists in his first two appearances and scored his first goal of the season against Werder Bremen, but he was recently an unused substitute against Eintracht Frankfurt. There are eight games remaining in the Bundesliga season and it will be interesting to see how Sancho fares. Donny van de Beek Just a few weeks after signing for Eintracht Frankfurt on loan with a view to a permanent move, Donny van de Beek was left out of the squad for their Europa Conference League campaign. UEFA regulations state only three changes can be made to 25-man squads for European competition and Van de Beek missed out, with other signings included instead. Van de Beek was a peripheral squad figure at United and has that same status at Eintracht. He's played just 320 minutes, despite signing on loan at the start of January. Pellistri scored and assisted against
Barcelona last month and notched another assist against Real Sociedad. Joe Hugill Joe Hugill scored a brilliant goal on his debut for Burton Albion - you can watch it below - and it was a shame that Derby won that game 3-2. Nonetheless, Hugill would have been delighted to score on his first appearance and except for two games, he's featured in some capacity in every match. Hugill has made six league starts for Burton, who are fighting to survive relegation in League One. Will Fish Will Fish has started 39 of a possible 41 games in all competitions for Hibernian this season and, admirably, he's delivered week in, week out. The young defender's durability has been impressive and staff at United are understood to be delighted with his loan spell. Fish talked to the MEN last week about his time in
Scotland and Championship clubs are keenly following his progress. Dan Gore Following comments from Port Vale manager Darren Moore at the weekend, sources confirmed to the MEN that Dan Gore could be out for the rest of the season with injury. Moore said: "With Dan Gore, that's an ongoing, persistent problem. Whether we feel he's going to be back for any part of this season, we're not too sure. "It's not looking too good for him at the moment and it's a persistent one that we'll still monitor." Club sources have indicated the injury is not serious but have conceded it's a shame the issue has prevented Gore from making a mark during his first loan away.
