isn’t the only movie being re-released in theaters this spring. Theaters like AMC and Alamo Drafthouse will be playing all nine mainline movies in a 20-hour marathon. Playing in chronological order, the whole will effectively run from Friday, May 3 all the way to
Star Wars Day on May 4. Tickets are currently , and it’s going to be an all-day affair: screenings start at 8 PM on Friday, and there won’t be an intermission. The , a popular fan community of cosplayers, will also show up on May 3 to give it a proper “inspection.” There’ll also be a themed pop-up experience in the lobby, which will be free to the public from May 4-May 19. It’s been long enough since that this may be the first big movie marathon for to play in theaters in five years, if not ever. (Disney previously did this with the MCU movies ahead of but it may be tougher to pull off with the Multiverse Saga.)
